  4. This chart from one maker of LED lightbulbs shows how much power is consumed by a 60W equivalent LED lightbulb as compared to one that runs on traditional incandescent technology.

    However do led strip lights use a lot of electricity, the U.S. Department of Energy has put together a chart showing how much electricity it takes to power up common household items and what kind of savings you can expect if you give them up.
